Hello Everyone, Welcome to another fun Vintage Lifestyle of Love Hop edition
hosted by Cindy of County Road 407. Cindy always picks great ideas for our topic.
This month we're sharing how we use old toolboxes in our vintage decor.
If you're coming from Michelle's at The Painted Hinge
thanks for coming by and I hope you'll continue the Hop by
clicking on the Linky Pic lineup below.
I have to admit I'm a vintage box, carrier, tote, junk obsessed collector.
I love old metal containers, so when I found this orange/red metal toolbox
awhile back I immediately thought of how I'd use it for Fall decorating.
and so I did....
But how do you use something orangey-red in January
when you've just put away everything red that resembles Christmas?
Woodsy decor is my "go-to" especially in the colder wintry months.
So when I realized one of my Pendleton blankets had a similar color stripe
I knew this toolbox vignette would work.
It's always fun coming up with a seasonal tableau
on the farm table in the Garden Room.
Faux Christmas greenery with pinecones and hydrangeas
fill up the old ice cream maker.
I like to keep out my smaller faux evergreen trees
to add to the woodsy mix.
You can still see my small lighted tree is in the gray goat cart.
I'm having a hard time putting them away.
Old garden tools, small clay pots, pinecones, and greenery
keep one of my little quail company.
The quail have been out since November; one place or another.
A small olive bucket with a candle insert
just fits this small space.
My sis brought this little (Norfolk Island Pine?) to me for Christmas,
with fun wrapping paper.
Here are a couple of pics out the French doors on the back porch a few days ago.
We've had several days of snow, but no accumulation.
I'll be here on the sofa in front of the fire.
Head on over to visit Paula at Sweet Pea to see what she's doing.

Hope you'll join us on Monday evening.
