new harry potter film 'borrows' alexander mcqueen dress

We have had some Potter related stuff on this site before. But this is an odd one. With the new film either being filmed or nearly ready for release (who knows, who cares?) a pic has been leaked to the fashion press. I presume this is to get fashion lovers to go see the film. I have no idea. But, the picture is Fleur Delacour's wedding to one of the ginger people - I mean Ron Weasley's older brother.

Now here is the interesting part. It's clearly an Alexander McQueen dress. Clearly. From his 2008 collection. Although the birds have been changed to peacocks to phoenixs. Nice. The costume designer (Jay Temime) had this to say in response :

"Fleur's dress is made in organza and decorated with a pair of phoenixes that face one another on the bodice and form the silhouette of a heart. I chose the phoenix because, like love, it is eternal."

Erm....right.....
